The hair removal laser is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis.
That is, the melanin in the hair is targeted by the laser to be destroyed, while the surrounding skin is not affected.
As the laser emits a specific wavelength, only the melanin in the hair is absorbed and heated.
This absorption causes the destruction of the hair bulb and therefore the cessation of regrowth.

The session lasts about 30 minutes, but the time can vary depending on the area to be waxed.

The laser is then passed over the area to be epiled by the laserist.

It is also necessary to moisturize the treated area well after the session and the days that follow.
Once the session is over, you can resume your usual activity.
Before each session, the area to be waxed must be shaved well because the laser does not work on hair in the regrowth phase.
The number of sessions required varies depending on the skin type and hair type.
In general, it takes between 6 and 8 sessions to obtain satisfactory results.
For optimal results, it is important to respect the intervals between each session, generally 4 to 6 weeks.
It should be noted that the hair removal laser is different from pulsed light, as it directly targets the dark pigment of the hair.
Pulsed light acts on the entire hair follicle by causing its destruction.
The hair removal laser is therefore more precise and effective than pulsed light.
