During your laser hair removal session, the laserist will target each bulb and release a beam of light that will penetrate the skin and target melanin. The melanin absorbs the energy and destroys the bulb, preventing it from growing back. This technique differs from pulsed light in that it is more precise and more effective. To make your hair removal session as comfortable as possible, our laser equipment blows continuous cold air throughout the session to anesthetize the area to be treated. You may notice a slight tingling sensation during the session, but there will be no intense pain. Once the session is over, you can return to your normal activities. Be sure to moisturize the treated area in the days following your session, avoid shaving until your next session to avoid reactivating hair regrowth, and avoid exposing the area to sunlight.
