Lorsqu\u2019elle est inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 1.70 on parle alors d\u2019hypoglyc\u00e9mie. A contrario, lorsqu\u2019elle est sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 1.10 on parle d\u2019hyperglyc\u00e9mie. Enfin, si elle est sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 plus de 2g\/L \u00e0 n\u2019importe quel moment de la journ\u00e9e, on parle d\u2019hyperglyc\u00e9mie chronique, soit de cas de diab\u00e8te. La prise de sang est alors le moyen pour \u00e9valuer le dosage de sucre dans le sang.
